This AirAsiaX Xcintillating PhoeniX A330 enrouted to depart Gold Coast Coolangatta Airport (OOL) on the 3rd of July as XAX207 bound for Kuala Lumpur (KUL). Shortly after departure, the cockpit crews called for emergency due to starboard engine malfunction and landed safely in Brisbane International Airport (BNE) on the same night. The aircraft has been sitting on the Logistic Bay of Brisbane Airport for 13 days now and only had the engine changed on the 14th of July. The engine was transported with SIA Cargo to Sydney then delivered to Brisbane. The engine in the photo above is the damaged engine changed out and ready for delivery back to Rolls-Royce engine shop. Luckily this incident involved no injuries and passengers were able to take the flight back to KUL on the next day.
