Photographer's remark

I finally got my photo as the aircraft sat at the fuel pump A keen eye will see the static bonding cable attached to the nose wheel strut.

The aircraft was owned by Scottish Aviation and was a prototype.
At one time it was
fitted with machineguns during the development of a counterinsurgency (COIN)
variant.
A joint owner of the aircraft, who was an engineer on this project and is
an instructor at Portmoak, has suggested that refitting the guns might be a way of
enforcing good airmanship when soaring Bishop Hill.
