Having been obsessive about aviation in my youth in the early 'seventies, I returned to aviation photography in 2006 when my work as a commercial officer with the Ministry of Defence required frequent visits to RAF flying training stations (passing numerous civilian airports on the way). Digital camera technology had transformed the whole activity, and I discovered on-line aviation photo websites. One in particular drove me mad with frustration with its perpetual rejections and I set myself the task of developing as nearly as possible complete control of every aspect of the way a digital photo can be adjusted and improved in Photoshop in order to overcome the rejections and achieve the required quality. Achieving Full Membership of this site has been a terrific challenge and feels like a real achievement.
