Hallo,
i have taken some shots of fighterjets at Berlin Air Show yesterday. Always with the classic one f/8.
While checking Exif data of many pics here i noticed that many photographers using low aperture sizes like f/5.6 or f/6.3.
What settings you are using while hunting for fast movers?
Thanks

The answer is in the relationship between aperture and shutter speed. Understanding this is a fundimental element in photography basically a fast shutter speed will lead to a wide aperture and vice versa unless the photographer had the camera set to Program mode... The trade off is a fast shutter speed with a low depth of field which means some parts of the aircraft may not be in focus. |

The fist thing that any photographer should do, is understand the relationship between aperture, shutter speed and ISO... and then start using that lesson to ones advantage. |
