Anybody have any opinions on these images?

Hi Matthew,

the first one has some JPG compression e.g. the tail(s). The fence on the second pic is a bit distracting (16:9 might be a better size) and the fuselage looks a bit too bright.

Cheers

I would also try to let a little bit more space in front and behind the plane(s).

I agree with Emanuel and Murmeldeier. 16:9 crop may be preferred with both as the grass takes away from the focus on the plane in both. You should pull back on the highlights or white tones like Emanuel said on the Monarch. Reducing highlights will also bring the clouds out a bit more. The saturation on the Monarch is a bit strong too. Try to use vibrance instead of saturation when you boost the colors. Vibrance adds color to under saturated areas and less to the areas that already have enough punch. Result is a more balanced shot.

The first shot is also a bit soft.
