Personally I should crop it more like 16:10 or 16:9, with the main object, the aircraft in the middle of the crop. Maybe try it to upload it with a longer side of 1400px, or maybe 1200px.

I don't know which program you use to adapt your photos, but then I should sharpen your photo a bit.

When the screeners said: Requirements are higher for sky shot, Then I have to say sorry, and is it not possible to upload your photo. I recommend you then to take a look the sky shots guidance: http://www.airplane-pictures.net/sky-shots.php

Well, this picture isn't really sharp from itself. I would advise you to resize it to 1200 px. And as David already said, it is a skyshot, and not really a special one with a special angle.
