Please be aware that we have decided to tighten up on what we will accept as news - please see this page

All images must have a reason/description of the news, even if you upload a series of images from the one event. Any images without this reason/description will be rejected.

There will be a few days grace from now and then this will be enforced.

I don't know how to read the last line in the guidline:

"The news photo have to be supported by detailed information. Lack of information results in photo rejection."

Does this mean if it's a photo that would be accepted if it was a normal photo it will be rejected in total and not appear in the database, or just rejected as news?

If it's the first option, i think it's a hard rejection. The screener could decide to put it in the normal screening procedure. I think you save time this way. Otherwise you get double uploads imo.
