Could anyone give me a short advice of 1-2 locations in both airports to get some nice shots? I will be travelling there within next 2 weeks and I will have a chance to spend a few hours at each airport, I would just need most updated info please. Thank you in advance! |

I actually drove round to the back of KLIA ... Here's a map. I'm also attaching a photo taken from there. Attached photos: |

As for Singapore, I went to the rooftop "Cactus Garden" in the Terminal 1 transit lounge. Here's the map and a shot. Attached photos: |

Have you been to either of those places previously? Be prepared for some surprises - both amazing and seemingly crazy!
Singapore Airport has to be one of the most efficient airports that I've ever traveled through. No matter where I arrive from, my luggage is always there before me! At times, I've gone through passport control in just a few minutes - and among the nicest too.
As for Kuala Lumpur, you can take photographs from within the terminal buildings because the glass is both flat, clear and kept clean (unlike say Dubai, Bangkok or even Narita). KLIA1 has two terminals where are connected by a train. KLIA2 is a separate terminal altogether. However, you must be on the air-side of the terminals for the good views - i.e. past passport control and security. You could trying checking in a few hours early. The airline lounges and some restaurants have good views - as does the smoking room if you happen to have that particular filthy habit like I do :) So here's a couple of shots; the Malaysian B737 (http://www.airplane-pictures.net/photo/281739/9m-mxh-malaysia-airlines-boeing-737-800/) was shot from Biman's business class lounge while the Myanmar A320 (http://www.airplane-pictures.net/photo/481633/xy-ago-myanmar-airways-international-airbus-a320/) was shot from the smoking room.
Happy travels and I look forward to your usual amazing shots from some of my regular hangouts! Attached photos: |
