Quite an early rotation, isn't it? Nice shot, interesting perspective!

It is, Emanuel! It's probably heading to curacao and not to Amsterdam. Beautiful shot
Robert.

Thanks guys ! The early rotation is because it's light in fuel after crossing the
atlantic ... next stop is TNCC for a fresh cvrew and a fuel top-off .... then back to EHAM
!

Indeed a beautifull shot Robby!

Very nice photo!! Great Perspective!!
Did you shoot this from a giant boat's mast?
7 Jarod Fleming
(9 April 2012 - 04:27 CET)
But if you look at this there isn't much runway left so looking at this when it departs
to Amsterdam it would use up most if not all of the runway. Please correct me if I am
wrong.

The 747 can not take off from Sint Maarten with a full load of fuel and pax. that's why
they alway make a technical stop in TNCC or TNCA. The A340, A330 and the MD11 however do
not have that restriction.

Robert is correct, if the situation above the atlantic is normal. I've flown the A340
from there with a fuel stop at point-a-pitre because we had to aviod the Icelandic
ash-cloud at that time. But the A340's perform some great spectacular departures when
full over there!
