Where do you go at Heathrow for these type of shots?

If you follow the perimeter fence on your left you have visitors centre and renaissance
hotel on your right, just past the end of the hotel the fence cuts in at an angle, this
gives you angled shots of landing aircraft, only one downside is that it is only good with
nice light and only good after around 6pm in the evening otherwise the sun isn`t far
enough around so it is backlit in the daytime. You also have to use a small box or
something to stand on, a ladder is not recommended as not to annoy her majesty`s finest

Are you able to shot through the fence by crouching down or sitting down ... for 27R line
ups in the past i been sitting on the floor for line ups and wondering if this would be
the same or do you really need a small box to be above the fence etc ?

crouching down is not good as the grass blocks view, the fence is the square kind and not
the chainlink so a camera rests against it better, standing on something is recommended
unless you are real tall ;)...........good luck in trying it out
