Due to the decision of the major of Berlin Klaus Wowereit, the city airport of Berlin, Tenmpelhof, had to close at the 30th October 2008. 5 Minutes before Midnight, the last two aircraft, a Dakota from the Air Service Berlin on the runway 27L and the Lufthansa JU-52 D-CDLH on the 27R are ready for the final departures... This was the the last call of THF-Tower: D-CXXX: D-CXXX, the raisin bomber now leaves Tempelhof, thanks for everything, we are ready now. Tower: D-CXXX, thank you, stand by please. D-CDLH: D-CDLH, we stand here on runway 27R in Berlin Tempelhof, the most beautiful airport of the world, and we all have a tear in our eyes. And we all know why, and you know why. When we'll return some day, we'll have another tear in our eyes and also know why. We say "Auf Wiedersehen". D-CDLH, number two, is now ready for departure. Tower: D-CDLH, D-CXXX, Tempelhof formation, winds 250 6 knots, runway 27R and runway 27L, cleared for takeoff. Auf Wiedersehen. D-CDLH: D-CDLH, Auf Wiedersehen. After this I really had to fight back my tears and then I heard the great Dakota engines a last time here. Both aircrafts leave the airport at the same time into the dark and rainy sky of Berlin. After 85 years as an airport, an era came to an end. This was a really hard and sad moment for me. I will never forget the great time here. Goodbye my old friend.

An atmospheric shot and I like the detail retained in the sky, but I find the intrusion bottom right distracting and the noise is knocking out some of the detail.
